so bad
I have eaten at Aroma a few times now and each time it's gotten exponentially worse. It now reminds me of a third world grade school cafeteria.I was the only patron in there tonight and it appeared nothing on the buffet had been restocked since lunch. The biryani was dried out and crunchy. There were no meat dishes at all, just some dried out crumbs where the chicken tika usually resides. The latest addition to the decors is a sign explaining that bowls were removed because customers were wasting too much food. This is hands down the worst eatery around.People seem to be under the impression that this is the only Indian place around. It is not, there is one that opened in Rogers called Indian Corner, and it's vastly superior on many levels.

Good Food, Poor Service
Aroma is a newly opened Indian and Pakistani restaurant in the Bentonville Rogers area. Given the lack of any Indian restaurants, Aroma is a welcome change to the Indian residents in this area. We went to Aroma on a Friday evening and we were happy to see that the restaurant was reasonably busy. The interiors are fairly simple as you can see from the images so don't expect this to be a fine dining establishment. We decided to try the Dinner buffet so that we could sample all the food. The buffet had three types of biryanis, Chicken, Lamb and Vegetarian. There were a few vegetarian dishes like Bhindi Masala and Aloo Palak along with some daal as well. The non-vegetarian section had a couple of chicken dishes and some Pakistani items like Haleem. Fish tikka was the appetizer and there was some nice bread as well.
Overall the food was very tasty, almost like home cooked food. The restaurant is run by a Muslim family and maybe thats the reason it tasted like home-made food. We really enjoyed the meal and I think most of the visitors to this restaurant will also enjoy the meal. The $13 price-tag may be a bit high but I guess people will be willing to pay for it.
Since the restaurant is new, their service was pretty poor. It seems like they know how to cook but don't know how to run a restaurant. They did not have all their heating equipment ready and were serving the Biryani in the Crock-pots. Some of the food was actually cold or luke-warm. They did not fill up dishes that had emptied out and had to be constantly reminded to fill up their empty dishes. They almost never spoke to their customers and I had to call them 2 or 3 times of get my check.
Overall, I would give this place a 4-5 star for its food but a 1-star for its service. In a tough economy, its even more important to attract customers and keep them happy. The restaurant may survive and do well because the food is good and there is no choice in Bentonville/Rogers for Indian/Pakistani food. I would hope that as the restaurant grows, its realizes the importance of keeping a high service level.

good
ok when we first walked into the restaurant we smelled our homecooking smell. yes i agree with the fact that there are many flaws such as lack of dishes in buffet, putting buffet food in a crock pot. You got to realize that these people just opened this up and they probably have no expereience in restaurant management or how it is run and what it needs but they do have great chefs when we were there there were muslim ladies in the back cooking the food and it tasted just like homefood.
The food tastes like u are eating at your house and not at some restaurant where the food has no taste.
The price is reasonable for the buffet.
I say we give them some time and this will be a success.
Btw....they are Pakistanis and not indians and they are muslims. We had a talk with the owner

Very So-So
Meal: Dinner Number of visits: 2
Rating: 1.5 to 2 on a scale of 5
Cost: 10$ + tax per adult; 5$ + Tax for children
As you enter, aroma holds out the hope of living up to its name. A warm, inviting Indian masala smell wafts towards you.
But thats where the similarity ends.
Almost everything from there is a disappointing letdown.
The restaurant is clean - but that's the most that can be said for it. The interiors are sparse, it doesn't even have a board that helps it stick out (think of it as the place between Napoli and Planet Vide...)
The food is a repetitive, boring buffet.
Service doesn't exist.
The meat is tough and tastes stale and is somehow wanting.
Most of the gravy dishes are floating in oil.
The vegetarian dishes are better than the non-vegetarian.
On the whole, not worth the 10$ + taxes that you will pay for them.
Truly, methinks the restaurant runs only because of the Lack of any other Indian eateries in the area.
My verdict: give it a miss.
