When in Beijing, Eat here
Ganges has plenty of restaurants around Beijing but this one is the most conveniently located. Sanlitun is the entertainment area of the city so taxi drivers know exactly where to go when you say "San Li Tun". The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor just behind Adidas sports store. Service is courteous and the decor is beautiful. As for dinner, I recommend the murg masalam, garlic naan, and the vegetarian curry. The Masala tea is also quite good. lovely restaurant enjoyable food
Beijing has many Indian restaurants and with few exceptions they are mostly good but Ganges is the Indian I go back to over and over because of its many locations and authentic Indian spice. There are 4 locations around the city and each is as consistent as the other. Management is kind and welcoming and some of the locations even have Bollywood dance performances. Most importantly, the menu has a large selection of Halal and Vegetarian dishes prepared correctly.

3rd floor terrace
I enthusiastically recommend dinning on outside terrace in the evening. The third floor has a door that leads to a unknown terrace that has a wonderful breeze and is far enough above the hullabaloo below that sound doesn’t travel. Service can be a bit more difficult to attract from outside but it’s a small price to pay. The food is still wonderfully Indian! Submit review See all 3 reviews
